Time Flies.. when you're in a sorority!

Yes, I realize it's been about 3 weeks since my last blog. But seriously... I have not stopped! Rush week went well, a little too hot for my taste, but well. Although I honestly loved all of my top choices on preference night, I chose Alpha Gamma Delta, which is what I was priveledged enough to recieve a bid from! YAY! I have no complaints.. I love every one of my new pledge sisters like I've known them forever. It's amazing how quickly we bonded! Two of my good friends also pledged alpha gam, Claire and Kimiya. We've been having WAY too much fun!

Oh, and school's been great too! I love my english professor, chem professor, music appreciation professor (great class) and human development professor. Whoever invented 'Rate my Professor' you deserve a badge of honor!! I really lucked out!

AGD has already had one swap, with Beta, and the theme was, "Anything goes but clothes", now.. don't worry. We all wore clothes under our costumes. I wore a trashbag with bubblewrap and hot pink duct tape. Sound interesting? Well it was...Cute too! Tomorrow's swap theme is 'BET vs. CMT' and of course, I'm going as CMT.. I can't resist wearing a cute dress and my cowboy boots :) true southern bell! Another exciting point, Claire was elected Social Chair of the freshman, so she plans all the parties with the frats! She's perfect for the job.. cute, social, and friendly.. coudn't ask for any better! I was elected Pledge-Class-President or PCP, and I am so thrilled! I'm happy that these girls trusted me enough to vote me to it!

Meredith over and out.

Roll WAVE!

I have been so busy! A quick recap.. last week, I went to visit an old "friend", Eric in New Orleans. Eric and I have dated for 3.5 years, but have not been exclusive for almost a year. I hope that one day we can be together exclusively again, when we are in the same place at the same time for once! Eric is a junior academically at Tulane University, but a redshirt sophmore on the football field. He's a great guy, and a best friend! I'm so happy that I will be an hour closer to him this time TOMORROW when I have moved to TUSCALOOSA! I'm sure you'll hear more about him on here.. since Tulane is my second favorite team!

When they say how exciting moving to college is.... THEY'RE RIGHT! But one thing most don't talk about is how sad it is saying bye to old friends for now. My friend Sarah is moving to NEW YORK to follow her dreams (go girl) and Mallory is going to Auburn (ew). I can't wait to see them again in a few months though.. we'll have LOTS to catch up on!!

I have so many exciting things going on right now, visiting Eric, moving to college and in with my dear friend Maggie and last but certainly not least, RUSH! I am so looking forward to recruitment next week! I look forward to making those lifelong friends, and my life begins TOMORROW! I can't wait to share it all on here!

And until next time, here are some (very few) of the pictures from last week in NOLA. Enjoy!

Eric and another O-lineman cheesing with the trolleycar driver

Yes, I'd like that one.

Jackson Square.. so pretty!

My big football player! He doesn't usually have the beard or the mohawk. I assure you all.

The beard was a bet with some other football players, and the mohawk is to get him mentally ready for football. Either way he looks sccawwyyy!!!
